Forever 21: Fast-fashion retailer Forever 21 of Lincoln Heights has launched an Android app and updated its iPhone app. The apps allow shoppers to browse the retailer’s inventory, receive discount coupons and make purchases.
Cornerstone OnDemand: Santa Monica’s Cornerstone OnDemand, a human resource software developer, has expanded its partnership with ADP. As part of the expanded partnership, Cornerstone’s learning and performance management software for small businesses will be added to the ADP Marketplace in early 2016.
Giftagram: Santa Monica’s Giftagram has launched its iPhone app. The Giftagram app allows shoppers to find locally procured items and gift them to friends using just an email or text message. Once a recipient receives a message they add a delivery address.
Akana: API management company Akana of Brentwood has signed a service contract with airline Aeromexico of Mexico City. Akana will help expand Aeromexico’s mobile app features and make it possible for partners, such as hotel chains and cruise ship lines, to tap into Aeromexico’s systems.
XYZ: Domain registry business XYZ of Santa Monica has launched several new domains names: dot-Cars, dot-Car and dot-Auto. The domain names are available only to certain companies in the automotive industry.
Mattel: Toy maker Mattel of El Segundo has launched online computer programming courses. The online coding courses, designed for children aged 3 and up, are based on characters and content from Mattel’s Hot Wheels and Monster High brands.
Esri: Digital map-making company Esri of Redlands has launched a series of maps showing the effects of global warming. Launched in concert with the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, the maps illustrate a number of concepts, including temperature changes and projected polar ice melt.
