All Def Digital: Russel Simmons’ multichannel network All Def Digital of Culver City has launched an in-house ad agency. The agency will work with select brands to create ad campaigns targeting urban youth.
Snapchat: Messaging app Snapchat of Venice has opened an office in Dallas. Reportedly the office will be used by Snapchat’s sales team to meet with brands located in the Midwest.
TigerText: Secure text messaging platform TigerText of Santa Monica launched its service to customers of U.S. Cellular. The service will meet patient privacy regulations and will be billed to cellular service subscribers.
FreedomPop: Free wireless service provider FreedomPop of West L.A. has launched in Spain. The service will allow Spanish cellphone users to call and text each other for free using the app WhatsApp.
Ring: Smart doorbell Ring of Santa Monica has added software for Mac. The application allows users to monitor and access Ring’s video and the Stick Up Camera from Mac OS X El Capitan.
L.A. Kings: Hockey team L.A. Kings launched a social network. The app is aimed at connecting local hockey fans and includes photos and videos from Kings’ games.
