Riot Games of West Los Angeles has acquired videogame developer Radiant Entertainment for an undisclosed amount.

The small Los Altos video game studio’s development team will join Riot. One of Radiant’s games, “Stonehearth,” will also be picked up by Riot for further development. Radiant’s other game, “Rising Thunder,” will be dropped so that the company’s developers can focus on a new, undisclosed Riot video game.

Riot Games is known for the wildly popular video game League of Legends as well as for having generous salaries and compensation packages for its more than 1,000 employees.

The company was acquired by Tencent of Shenzhen, China in December for an undisclosed amount. Tencent first purchased a majority stake in Riot in 2011 for $231 million and since incrementally increased its ownership.
