PCM Inc., formerly PC Mall Inc., on Wednesday announced it had changed its corporate name.
The El Segundo technology company said that as part of the reorganization, its primary commercial subsidiaries – PC Mall Sales Inc., Sarcom Inc. and PC Mall Services Inc. – were combined into one subsidiary operating under the commercial brand PCM. The company’s PC Mall Gov Inc. subsidiary changed its name to PCMG Inc. and will operate under the PCM-G brand. The change was effective Monday.
“Over the past several years, our company has grown into an approximately $1.5 billion enterprise in part through our acquisition and internal cultivation of different brands,” Chief Executive Frank Khulusi said in a statement. “We determined that going forward, our commercial customers can benefit from a more unified and streamlined brand strategy.”
PCM’s ticker symbol has changed from MALL to PCMI. Shares on Thursday closed down 13 cents, or 2 percent, to $6.37 on the Nasdaq.
