Court Square Capital Partners has agreed to acquire a majority interest in Encompass Digital Media, a Los Angeles provider of services to the broadcast and cable TV industry.

Court Square of New York will buy the interest from the current owners, including Wasserstein & Co. L.P. Chief Executive Simon Bax and President Bill Tillson will remain along with other key managers, the company said Tuesday. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Encompass provides satellite trucks and satellite uplinks, digital file transfer services, production studios, network origination, and other services.

“We are confident Court Square will enable us to continue to build upon our strong platform and to seize significant opportunities to provide more value to our customer base by entering new markets and expanding our services,” said Bax in a statement.
