City of Industry online electronics and technology retailer Newegg Inc. has hired veteran e-commerce executive Robert Bellack as chief financial officer.
Bellack is a co-founder and former chief executive of Zetabid.com, an Irvine online auction site specializing in foreclosed real estate.
He previously was chief financial officer of L.A. Times Media Group, and was a co-founder and CFO of Classified Ventures, which launched websites such as Cars.com and Apartments.com. Before that, Bellack was CFO at Compton’s New Media, a publisher of consumer educational software.
“His demonstrated track record of creating, building and leading high performance organizations, including those in the e-commerce field, will successfully complement the expertise of our current executive team members,” said Newegg North America Chief Executive S.C. Lee in a statement.
NewEgg, one of the largest online retailers in the nation, canceled plans for an initial public offering in May, citing volatility in the markets.
