National Technical Systems Inc. announced Wednesday the acquisition of the testing business of Wyle Laboratories Inc. that serves the nuclear, aerospace, and defense industries.

Terms of the deal between National Technical in Calabasas and Wyle Labs in El Segundo were not disclosed.

With the acquisition, National Technical adds testing labs in El Segundo, San Bernardino, and Huntsville, Ala. that conduct environmental, structural, aerospace propulsion and acoustics testing, among other services.

“Add-on acquisitions have always been an integral component of our strategy, and adding the Wyle testing assets to our portfolio of solutions is the latest example of the significant technological, personnel, and capital investments we are making to support our customers,” National Technical Chief Executive William McGinnis said in a prepared statement.
