ScoreBig.com: Online ticketing company ScoreBig of Hollywood has entered into a partnership with Sports Illustrated’s website, SI.com. Through the partnership, Sports Illustrated’s readers will gain access to college and professional sports game tickets at up to a 60 percent discount.

PLAYMessenger: Long Beach’s kid-safe messaging app PLAYMessenger launched. The app automatically filters out inappropriate language, allows parents to peer into their children’s conversations and uses technology that certifies the identities of adults using the app.

Schlep & Fetch: L.A.’s Schlep & Fetch, an on-demand delivery and courier app, launched. Via the app users can order pickup and delivery of such items as forgotten school lunches, restaurant food or retail items.

Curbstand: L.A.’s Curbstand, a valet app, launched onto Android. The app facilitates cashless valet services, including tipping, and allows users to request their cars remotely. The company is currently operating in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas and Austin.

Snapchat: Venice’s disappearing image app Snapchat has launched a new pre-roll video advertising pricing system for its news feed feature called Discover that charges $20 per thousand views, much less than the $100 per thousand views the app was reportedly charging a few months ago. Discover viewership is reportedly down 30 to 50 percent.
