Cornerstone OnDemand: Human resource software company Cornerstone OnDemand of Santa Monica launched Insights, it’s data-analysis software that automatically alerts companies to such issues as a lack of employee training or legal compliance, and Edge, an online platform designed to help third parties build programs on top of Cornerstone’s suite of software.

Silversheet: Doctor credential verification software program Silversheet of Los Angeles launched. The program digitizes medical credentialing documents, automatically verifies those credentials with primary sources and reminds physicians when their credentials need to be resubmitted.

CallSheet Operator: L.A.’s CallSheet Operator, a Web-based platform for organizing when and where actors and crew should be during filming, launched. In an effort to add efficiency to the typically pen and paper routine of organizing a film set, the platform automatically notifies those on its list of tasks needing to be done.

Rubicon Project: Online advertising marketplace the Rubicon Project of Playa Vista launched the Seller Cloud Self-Serve platform. Via the platform, websites can create online marketplaces to sell their advertising space directly to local small businesses and marketing agencies.

Nimble: Customer relationship management software company Nimble of Santa Monica launched the Smart Contacts App. The app automatically pulls contact and company information from Gmail or browser-based apps and updates it within Nimble.

Shyp: On-demand post office Shyp of San Francisco launched in Los Angeles this week. Via an iOS app, users take a picture of an item they want shipped and a Shyp employee will pick it up, package it and ship it for them, thus saving a trip to the post office. In support of the company’s L.A. operations, Shyp has opened a 20,000 square foot warehouse in Commerce.

Ring: Santa Monica’s Ring, a doorbell with a video camera and intercom that can be used remotely with an app, has launched a stand-alone intercom named Ring Chime. The intercom can be plugged into any outlet, programmed with customer ringtones and allows Ring users to talk to someone at their front door without the mobile app.
