J2 Global Communications Inc. on Wednesday said that it has acquired the online backup business of C Infinity, a Dublin, Ireland provider of online data backup and hosting services for businesses.

It’s the third such deal in the past 12 months for the Los Angeles provider of outsourced Internet fax, voice and e-mail services. The company acquired online backup companies KeepItSafe in 2010, and Data Haven in July.

The deal “reflects our broader vision to become a ‘one-stop-shop’ for cloud services for business, whether it be online fax, voice services, e-mail hosting, e-mail marketing or online backup.” Chief Executive Hemi Zucker said in a statement.

Terms of deal were not disclosed and the financial impact to j2 Global is not expected to be material, the company said.

Shares closed up 23 cents, or less than a percent, to $29.50 on the Nasdaq.
