Ixia said late Monday that it completed its acquisition of VeriWave Inc., an Oregan maker of testing devices for Wi-Fi networks and smart phones.
The deal will allow the Calabasas provider of Internet and wireless network test products to offer a more comprehensive line of services to network equipment manufacturers, service providers, businesses and government agencies. Privately held VeriWave of Beaverton makes products that test Wi-Fi networks and mobile smart devices by measuring speed, quality and other performance metrics.
Terms have not yet been disclosed, but Ixia said earlier that it expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings within one year. Ixia is scheduled to report second quarter financials on Thursday.
Shares fell earlier this month when the company warned that results would fall short of Wall Street expectations.
Ixia’s shares closed down 18 cents, or 1.7 percent, to $10.06 on the Nasdaq prior to the announcement.
