Culver City YouTube network Fullscreen announced Friday that it has acquired ScrewAttack, a Dallas website and YouTube channel for video gamers.
ScrewAttack’s YouTube channel boasts more than 850,000 subscribers. The website sells gaming-related merchandise. It also organizes an annual three-day conference for the video game community, the SGC Convention. This year’s event takes place in Dallas in mid-July.
Fullscreen’s network garners 3 billion video views a month and includes a talent roster in a wide variety of genres.
“As a leading video game community, ScrewAttack will provide a beachhead for our creator network and support our ongoing programming strategy in gaming,” said Larry Shapiro, Fullscreen’s head of talent, in the company’s press release.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
