Facebook is coming to Los Angeles to teach small businesses how to optimize their presence on its social network.

Small Business Boost, co-hosted by the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, will take place Thursday morning at the JW Marriott L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. The workshop is free to register.

U.S. Representatives Xavier Becerra, Linda Sanchez, Judy Chu and Tony Cardenas are expected to attend.

“Entrepreneurs in the 21st century need the resources and skills to better leverage social media and connect with customers in new ways,” Becerra said in a statement. “Facebook’s workshop aims to open these doors for our local entrepreneurs … And as their businesses grow, so grows L.A.’s economy.”

Thursday’s event is the fourth stop in the social media giant’s California workshop tour. The small business series will wrap up in Fresno on Aug. 22.
