Integrated digital media company Evolve Media has brought on former CareerArc Group executive Travlin McCormack as its new chief technology officer.
McCormack will oversee all technology functions at Evolve, which is headquartered in Ladera Heights. While at CareerArc in Burbank, McCormack led the tech team that operated its portfolio of websites geared toward job seekers, including Internships.com, TweetMyJobs.com and CareerBeam.com.
Evolve says its technology serves both advertisers and consumers by tracking the enthusiast-oriented content consumed on its vast online portfolio of websites. The company aggregates its editorial content under two separate publishing brands, CraveOnline for men, and TotallyHer for women.
Its video production division, SpringBoard Video, launched a service in October that adds 3-D-like effects to online videos.
“It’s clear that Evolve Media is making exciting changes and shifting the way that online publishing and cutting-edge advertising solutions are presented,” McCormack said in a statement.
Prior to joining CareerArc, McCormack served as chief technology at Santa Monica’s Slingshot Labs, a News Corp.-owned technology incubator dedicated to building and developing new Web ventures for its parent company.
