CV Studios Entertainment, a Beverly Hills media and tech solutions company, will be the exclusive reseller of Chinese telecom giant ZTE’s cloud-based business-to-business products.
CV Studios has spent most of the last three years developing short-form content for its mobile video player. But it’s looking to expand its enterprise business by bundling its software with ZTE hardware to distribute cloud products that range from a video conferencing center to Wi-Fi-powered security cameras.
ZTE is one of the world’s top 10 smartphone manufacturers. The five-year contract will cover 148 companies nationwide, including Sears, Walmart and CVS, as well as non-U.S businesses that have offices in the country.
CV Studios Chief Executive Carole Sumner Krechman said the partnership could bring in $5 million in additional revenue for her company next year.
“If we can build this business in Southern California, it’s going to be a really good thing for the economy especially the new mobile tech production marriage,” Krechman said.
