CheckAlt, a Los Angeles company that offers electronic deposit services for banks, has acquired secure machine-maker Diebold’s Eras division, a maker of remote banking software, for an undisclosed sum.
CheckAlt said it planned to leverage Eras’ footprint, operations and technology to fuel expansion.
“With the acquisition of Eras, CheckAlt is able to meet the needs of the bank’s internal operations unit as well the bank’s merchant customers, all from a single vendor,” CheckAlt co-Chairman and Chief Executive Shai Stern said in a statement.
Eras is headquartered in Miami.
