BIS Computer Solutions Inc., a global supplier of information technology services based in La Crescenta, on Monday said it had acquired Pasadena technology services firm ResultWorx Technology Group Inc.

ResultWorx provides services for small- to medium-sized businesses in the San Gabriel Valley and Orange County and is known for its disaster-recovery technology. It was founded by the late Jim Locke of Pasadena and is being sold by his widow, Marilyn Cabezas-Locke. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“While they are friendly competitors, both companies share the same vision and values in focusing on the technology needs of entrepreneurial businesses,” said Cabezas-Locke, in a statement. “I’m confident (BIS) would continue Jim’s commitment to highly personalized customer service, staying on the cutting edge of innovative technology solutions and community involvement.”

BIS Computer Solutions, a global supplier of information technology, custom software and computer services, was founded 40 years ago and has offices in New York and Alabama, and overseas in Italy and India.
