Chief Executive, Activision Blizzard
Kotick has been a director and chief executive of Activision since 1991 and oversaw the company’s 2008 merger with Blizzard Entertainment owner Vivendi Games. Under his leadership, Activision Blizzard has become the largest, most profitable pure-play interactive entertainment software publisher in the world. In January 2022, Microsoft said it intended to acquire Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion but the deal faced big regulatory resistance. Activision Blizzard last year posted $7.53 billion in revenue and released several record-breaking games. They include “Overwatch 2,” “Diablo Immortal,” and “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II,” which surpassed “Top Gun: Maverick.”
