Winfrey amassed a fortune estimated at $2.5 billion by Forbes magazine from a multi-media business built around her celebrity, though she’s dialed back in recent years. In January, Winfrey was announced to star in WWII all-women battalion movie “Six Triple Eight” from mega-producer Tyler Perry. OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network continues in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, though linear TV channels are fading. Her primary residence is a mega-mansion in Montecito, and her personal enterprise Harpo (that’s Oprah spelled backwards) is concentrated in Los Angeles. Harpo was founded in 1990, after her former syndicated TV talk show became a national sensation.
