Allen can plot his entertainment media-company expansion from his exclusive Paradise Cove enclave in Malibu, where he bought a $100 million mansion on 3.5 acres in October. His solely owned Allen Media Group in Los Angeles bolted on Black News Channel, which was acquired for $12 million out of bankruptcy in July. He prowls for properties big and small in sports, TV/video channels, film/TV content and online streaming. AMG owns 36 network-affiliated broadcast TV channels. The former standup comic, Allen arrived as a media operator buying the Weather Channel linear cable TV network in 2018, though rival Fox Weather launched in October 2021.
