Hollywood producer Grazer has been dealmaking. In January, his company bought the remaining 49% in prolific TV comedy producer Jax Media, after acquiring the majority in 2018. Jax content received 92 prime-time Emmys nominations. In November, Imagine raised $15 million in venture capital for its Hollywood worker digital platform Impact. Beverly Hills-based Imagine is a sizeable boutique producer usually working within the Hollywood studio system. Published reports suggest that Imagine has been entertaining offers to sell itself. Its movies won 10 Oscars, including Best Picture with “A Beautiful Mind” for 2001. Grazer’s partnership with filmmaker Ron Howard goes back 38 years.
