Greenberg co-founded Skechers with his son, Michael, in 1992. Under his guidance Skechers became one of the largest athletic lifestyle footwear and apparel brands in the world, with sales last year reaching a record $7.4 billion, a $1.1 billion increase over the previous year. The Manhattan Beach-based company is on track to deliver its target of $10 billion in annual sales by 2026, supported by targeted marketing strategies and aggressive expansion in 180 countries worldwide — a footprint that includes more than 4,500 stores. Greenberg also started L.A. Gear Inc. in 1983, which reached $902 million in sales in 1990.
