Chair and Principal Owner, Inter-Con Security

Hernandez is the chair and principal owner of Inter-Con Security, a Pasadena-based firm that employs more than 35,000 security professionals globally and was recently ranked the fifth-largest security company in North America. Hernandez has been chair of the McDonald’s Corp. since 2016 and a director since 1996. He also is a director of the Chevron Corp. and the Macerich Co. He’s a trustee of the John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation, as well as the Global Ronald McDonald House Children’s Charities. Hernandez served as the chair of Nordstrom Inc. from 2005 to 2016, and he was on the board of Wells Fargo & Co. and the Tribune Co. He also was president of the Los Angeles Police Commission.
