Under Olivarez’s leadership, Olivarez Madruga has grown into a premier minority-owned law firm in Southern California. Olivarez has developed expertise in managing complex internal and external investigations concerning allegations of sexual harassment, conflict of interest, fraud and misappropriation of public funds. He also serves as an attorney for area cities, school districts and community. He is on the White Memorial Medical Center’s governing board, as well as its foundation board, and the Homeboy Industries board. In addition, he serves on the education fund board of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials. NALEO was fouded by his grandfather, the late Congressman Edward R. Roybal.
