Since joining Mintz in 2016, Briones has helped quadruple the size of the firm’s Los Angeles office. Briones was included on the Business Journal’s Minority Leaders of Influence several times, as well as the Leaders of Influence: Litigators & Trial Lawyers list. In 2021 and 2022 Mintz was named organization of the year at the Business Journal’s Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Awards. Last year he was recognized on the Business Journal’s Top 100 Lawyers in California and the Daily Journal’s Top 100 Lawyers in California in 2019. The son of immigrant farm workers from Mexico, Briones has served as defense counsel on more than 600 class actions.
