Yang works in crisis representation, litigation, regulatory, compliance and white-collar defense cases. She is the first Asian American woman to serve as a U.S. Attorney and served in the Central District of California. Last year she was given the Learned Hand Award from the American Jewish Committee. Yang launched Gibson Dunn & Crutcher’s information technology and data privacy practice group. Yang helped found the pro bono organization The Alliance, designed to combat anti-Asian hate crimes. And this year, on behalf of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, she is hosting the organization’s Coffee House podcast series on influential Asian American and Pacific Islander women.
