Spisso was recruited to the position of president of UCLA Health, CEO of UCLA Hospital System and associate vice chancellor of UCLA Health Sciences in 2016. She is a nationally recognized academic health care leader with 40 years of experience who oversees UCLA Health’s four hospitals – the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center, UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, and the Stewart and Lynda Resnick Psychiatric Hospital – as well as more than 250 outpatient clinics, the Faculty Practice Group and the health system’s regional outreach strategy. Spisso spent 20 years as chief health system officer and vice president of medical affairs for the University of Washington in Seattle.
