President and Chief Executive, PIH Health

In July 2022, PIH Health was named one of the nation’s 15 top health systems by Fortune/Merative, the only health provider in Los Angeles County to be included in the listing. In October, PIH Health opened a transitional care unit at PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital; the facility has 28 licensed beds for patients who require skilled care. West became president and chief executive of PIH Health in 2004. Under his leadership, PIH Health has experienced significant expansion; it now comprises three hospitals – Downey, Good Samaritan and Whittier – 37 outpatient medical offices and seven urgent care centers, among other facilities. West joined PIH Health in 2000 as chief operating officer.
