Chair, Winnick & Co.

Winnick founded Winnick & Co. in 1985. The company works with entrepreneurs
and early-stage businesses in industries such as sports,
digital media, technology, financial services, health care and real
estate. Winnick & Co. is the founder and provider of seed capital to
iCrete, which provides real-time information systems that help readymixed
concrete producers improve business processes. Winnick & Co.
was also a founder, largest shareholder and principal investor in Global
Crossing. That company raised more than $20 billion to build the first
integrated fiber optic network that connected continents and countries.
However, it filed for one of the largest bankruptcies in history in
2002 and was later sold.
