Cohen is the co-founder of Karlin, which invests in private equity, natural
resources, public and private securities and direct lending. Cohen
has more than 30 years of investing experience. Earlier in his career,
he spent nearly a decade in senior executive positions with one of the
largest private companies in the country. He also served as a principal
in a $16 billion alternative investment firm and as an investment
banker and derivatives specialist at Lazard Frères & Co. in New York.
Cohen serves on the board of a variety of nonprofits in education, public
policy, medical research and animal welfare.
