Design Principal, Michael Maltzan Architecture Inc.
Maltzan’s work has gained international acclaim for innovation in both
design and construction. Notable projects include the Sixth Street Viaduct
in Los Angeles, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Vassar
Street Residential Hall, and the Winnipeg Art Gallery Inuit Art Centre.
Maltzan holds degrees in architecture and fine arts from the Rhode
Island School of Design and a master of architecture degree from Harvard
University. He is a recipient of a 2012 American Academy of
Arts and Letters Architecture Award and was inducted as a member
in 2023. He was elected to the National Academy of Design in 2020.
