Two years after taking over as the head officer at SoCalGas, Drury was
named the 2022 CEO Diversity Champion by the Southern California
Minority Supplier Development Council, recognizing his leadership in
advancing diversity and inclusion as part of SoCalGas’ Aspire 2045
sustainability and climate commitment to net-zero greenhouse gas
emissions strategy. The plan calls for reducing carbon intensity, developing
a diversified portfolio of clean energy networks and using advanced
analytics for real-time information gathering. Drury said nearly
$1 billion was spent on goods and services by SoCalGas from women,
minority, LGBTQ and disabled veteran business enterprises, with another
$50 million planned to invest in underserved communities over
the next five years.
