Pizarro, who heads up the parent company of Southern California Edison,
recently said at a Climate Leadership Conference in Washington,
D.C. that local floods, droughts and wildfires must lead to more attention
on producing clean energy and electrification. As such, Edison
Energy, another Edison International subsidiary that has a portfolio of
competitive businesses for commercial and industrial energy management,
will invest $175 billion in renewable energy and storage, plus
$75 billion for transmission infrastructure and energy-efficiency savings
plans. Pizarro joined Edison International in 1999.
