This year CTBC expanded lines into the entertainment industry and the
bank is working with major players in Asia under the CHIPs Act to localize
their operations and supply chains on the West Coast. Menai serves
on the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Community Depository
Institutions Advisory Council. He has served on the FDIC’s Subcommittee
on Supervision Modernization, where he helped federal agencies retool
to address a new breed of hybrid fintech and banking structures. Menai
oversees the bank’s U.S. operations, including its commercial, industrial
and commercial real estate lending groups, and also serves as deputy
head of international business for CTBC’s Asia-based parent bank.
