Not long after celebrating Greif & Co.’s 30th year in business and his
40th year as an investment banker, Greif is celebrating the 50th anniversary
of the USC program named in his honor. He endowed the Lloyd
Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at USC’s Marshall School of
Business – which boasts such graduates as Marc Benioff, Chris De-
Wolfe, Brandon Beck and Sean Rad — in 1997, with the program itself
dating back to 1971. Grief says Greif & Co. has only been picking up
speed in 2023, primarily driven by a flurry of M&A activity. He sits on
numerous boards, including the California Chamber of Commerce and
the USC Marshall School of Business.
