Chari, W.M. Keck Foundation

The Keck Foundation, endowed by oil pioneer William Myron Keck who
founded the Superior Oil Co., supports discoveries in science, engineering,
medicine and organizations that help children. Day had been
the longtime chief executive of the foundation until he shed the CEO
role in 2021 and retained the chair position last year. Day started his
career with White Weld & Co. in New York. In 1971 he founded Trust
Company of the West and served as chair from 1971 through 2014.
Active in the community, he has served on several boards including
the Keck School of Medicine at USC and Claremont McKenna College.
