Chief Executive, LA84 Foundation
The LA84 Foundation, a legacy of the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympic
Games, focuses on youth sports programs in underserved communities
in Southern California, as well as serving as a national leader in the
positive role sports plays in youth development. Since her appointment
as chief in 2016, Simril has expanded the foundation’s mission to include
supporting childhood health, youth socio-emotional development as well
as community well-being. She has developed new partnerships to bring
greater resources to communities and increase access to sports and
play. Simril previously served as senior vice president of external affairs
for the Los Angeles Dodgers, among other posts.
