Milken, founder and chair of nonprofit National Institute for Excellence
in Teaching, impacts more than 300,000 educators and 3 million students
through education reform. Milken’s nonprofit Center for Unsung
Heroes involves over a million teachers and young people researching
individuals who changed history. The Education Commission of the
States presented Milken with the James Bryant Conant Award for individual
impact on American Education. Milken chairs property development
and investment company Heron International and the nation’s
largest owner of early childhood education centers, National Realty
Trust. He is the brother of Michael Milken.
