Rochelle “Shelly” Sterling, is the wife of Donald Sterling. She was an integral part in the agreement made in 2014 to sell the Los Angeles Clippers to former Microsoft Corp. Chief Executive Steve Ballmer for $2 billion, after which she was given the titles of “Clippers Number One Fan” and “Owner Emeritus.” The Sterlings married in 1955 and reportedly live apart but are not divorced. Shelly Sterling maintains an interest in Donald T. Sterling Corp.’s real estate portfolio. She and her husband were No. 18 on the Business Journal’s annual Wealthiest Angelenos list with a net worth of $5.4 billion.
