John Kilroy is the chief executive and chairman of Kilroy Realty Corp. He was elected to the role of chairman of the board in 2013 and has been CEO since the company was founded in 1996. Before that Kilroy led the company’s predecessor, Kilroy Industries. At Kilroy Realty Corp., he oversees acquisition, entitlement, development, construction, leasing, financing, and dispositions. Under his leadership, the company entered San Francisco and Seattle in 2009 and 2010. In the last year, the company also expanded into Austin. The firm currently has a portfolio of 117 office properties that are 93.3% leased and 808 residential units. It also has $1.5 billion worth of projects under construction.
