Sagerman’s practice focuses on clients in major corporate bankruptcies and restructurings, including distressed capital raising and workouts along with general company and creditor matters. In addition to his work on restructurings, Sagerman focuses on banking and financial services, telecommunications, fiduciary litigation, transportation, manufacturing and consumer products. He helped clients work through the meltdown of the telecommunications industry and the 2007-2008 subprime housing crisis. Sagerman co-authored the book “Creditors’ Rights in Bankruptcy” (2nd ed.). He has a JD from the UCLA School of Law and a BA from UC Santa Barbara and the London School of Economics.
