President & Chief Executive, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

Viviano has led Children’s Hospital Los Angeles since late 2015. Under his tenure, CHLA has achieved successive top-five national rankings on the U.S. News Best Children’s Hospitals Honor Roll, operated one of the largest pediatric residency and fellowship training programs in the country and remained a top children’s hospital recipient of federal research funding. Prior to joining CHLA, Viviano served as the Chief Executive Officer of the UC San Diego Health System and Associate Vice Chancellor of UC San Diego Health Sciences. Previously, Viviano was chairman and chief executive of Alliance HealthCare Services. Viviano also serves as chair of the board of trustees at Loyola Marymount University in Westchester.
