Founding Chairman, Petersen Automotive Museum Foundation

Beverly Hills real estate investor Meyer teamed with the publisher of the car magazine Hot Rod, Robert Petersen and Petersen’s wife, Margie, to create the Petersen Automotive Museum in 1994. The museum, located on the Miracle Mile, underwent a 13-month, $90 million renovation and expanded to 95,000 square feet of exhibit space in 2015. In the 1970s, Meyer persuaded his family to expand its Gearys Beverly Hills store into a successful mail-order business that focused on luxury gifts and housewares. Meyer is on the boards of the Henry Ford Museum, Saint John’s Health Center Foundation and is a founding board member and past president of the CHP 11-99 Foundation.
