Scott Gillen, a luxury spec home developer, is the owner of Malibu-based Unvarnished Co. He took a unique path to become a developer, getting his start as a stunt driver on “The Dukes of Hazzard” when he was a teenager. From there, he went on to direct car commercials. While on hiatus, he purchased a home in Venice Beach and completely updated it, selling it within an hour of listing it. From there, he went on to develop high-end spec homes in Malibu. Gillen is wrapping the first home in development The Case which is to hit the market at $75 million soon.
