Mauricio Umansky is the founder and chief executive of Beverly Hills-based boutique residential brokerage The Agency. The company has been rapidly expanding. Last year the company opened 11 new franchises and in the first quarter of this year has opened a handful of additional locations as well. Umansky is also a highly respected agent in his own right, having been involved in around $4 billion worth of sales in his career, $270 million of which was last year alone. One of his biggest sales was the Playboy Mansion, which was the first home in L.A. to solve for more than $100 million, the Walt Disney Estate and residences formerly owned by Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan and Prince.
