James Malone is an executive vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. Malone has more than 25 years of experience in real estate and has worked in brokerage leadership, agency leasing, tenant representation, corporate services, real estate development and law. He rejoined JLL two years ago after a stint at Colliers International Group Inc. Malone played linebacker at UCLA and was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1992. When his NFL career ended, Malone attended law school and worked at a law firm before going to Catellus Development Corp., then JLL. He joined Brookfield Properties Inc. as it was acquiring MPG Office Trust before moving to Colliers, where he oversaw eight locations in Southern California. He is on the Board of Directors for the African American Real Estate Professionals, LA Chapter.
