President and Chief Executive, Keenan

Smith is president of AssuredPartners and chief executive at Keenan, an AssuredPartners agency. At AssuredPartners, he leads the West, Mountain West and specialty regions. Founded in 2011, AssuredPartners a fast-growing insurance broker with offices in 38 states and two countries. Keenan provides insurance and financial products for schools, public agencies and health care organizations. Smith joined Keenan in 1989 after working at Anthem Blue Cross and Prudential Insurance. He introduced several companywide corporate social-responsibility initiatives, including Keenan’s volunteer time-off policy that allows employees paid time off to volunteer for a charity; Impact Day, when Keenan employees participate in group projects; and the Right Start mentoring program.
