Leiweke unveiled plans in March to build a $3 billion entertainment district with an arena, hotel and casino in the Las Vegas area, which is bouncing back from pandemic doldrums. In November, Oak View Group acquired Spectra, a venue management and hospitality provider. Oak View is an entertainment and sports-facilities manager handling arenas ranging from Climate Pledge Arena (18,600 seats) in Seattle to UBS Arena (18,000 seats) outside of New York City, plus convention centers and multi-purpose facilities. It was founded in 2015 by Leiweke and Hollywood personal manager Irving Azoff, who were onetime rivals in the concert world.
