Active on diverse fronts, Abrams’ company in the past year raised $40 million in Series B funding for building a video game business. It also established a podcasting division with Spotify and created a script partnership with a literary platform to develop Hollywood writers from under-represented communities. In another direction, Bad Robot partnered with big screen Imax to produce a documentary “The Blue Angels” about the Air Force flying demonstration group. Abrams is a behind-the-camera Hollywood talent best known for TV series and motion pictures including in the “Star Wars,” “Star Trek,” and “Mission: Impossible” franchises.
