Chief Executive, Southern California Biomedical Council

Enany is marking his 20th year as chief executive of the Southern California Biomedical Council, a Westwood-based biotech trade organization. The council, which was established in 1995 as part of the Rebuild LA initiative in the wake of the 1992 civil unrest, works with biotech, medical tech, in-vitro diagnostic device and digital health businesses. Since the pandemic began, SoCalBio has served as a hub and resource center for local biomedical companies working on diagnostic, therapeutic and digital health projects to combat Covid-19. A native of Egypt, Enany came to the United States to attend UCLA, where he studied political science, urban planning and regional economic development.
